high of $2.7500.

Coffee futures exploded today reaching a new 20-year high today
of $2.9700; the July contract reached the high on heavy buying
from everywhere: commission houses, specs, funds and locals, brokers
said. Panic buying was seen in the last minutes of trade, they added.
Coffee futures settled sharply higher again in an explosive session,
after heavy buying from commission firms and funds catapulted the
July contract to $3.18 a pound, a new 20-year peak, traders said.
Futures plunged today, with the July delivery losing 3840 points
"Everybody expected the usual profit taking for the week
but no one expected the sell-off which at some point,
reached a loss of 4,180 points in this wild, wild session"
